Twas The Night Before Doctor Appointment

Twas the night before doctor appointment
and all through my mind
The question -- will this doctor be arrogant or kind?

My thoughts of days past,
when its been an uphill climb
Explaining numerous symptoms,
getting no where -- at times.

Then just when you think
you've conveyed yourself well
You settle back - thinking - Ahh...this went swell.

When out of their eyes comes that look of dismay
You want to spring from your chair
and just run away!

Your mind starts to boggle
Your tongues in a knot
Your stomach is churning
You think -- Hey! Thanks a lot!

I came here for help and now it is clear,
to see you need educating
Big Time -- my dear!

The facts are all out there
Medical articles and text
The symptoms can be vicious
This disease - quite complex!

low grade fever! persistent coughing!
or shortness of breath!

facial numbness! blurred vision!
joint pain! or muscle weakness...

The list is quite lengthy
with MULTI systems involved
The disease can be severe and damaging
And it's a mystery - still to be solved

World wide - hearts join together
in our continued wish
That this disease
gets recognition
and it's called - Sarcoidosis.
