This
disease -- called Sarcoidosis,
Still a mystery, not yet solved.
We beg of you, Medical Researchers,
Please. . .become more involved.
It does not seem to listen,
It ignores the drugs we take.
The pill bottles lined up like soldiers,
Our fight continued. . .at daybreak.
It's 3 o'clock in the morning.
I lie awake in my bed.
Aware of the many symptoms I feel,
Checking them off within my head.
To me the list seems longer,
Than when I first felt ill.
The thoughts of what I've already endured,
Down my spine, does send a chill.
Sarcoidosis was once considered rare,
Now that theory is no longer true.
Another patient was newly diagnosed today,
Tomorrow. . .it could be you
